Schonungen St. Georg 2010

Through our second-hand organ market (see www.gebrauchtorgel.de) we brokered a very well preserved second-hand organ from the Ott workshop in Göttingen for the parish of St. Georg.

The instrument stood in the famous Marienkirche in Bergen, Norway. We received the order for all necessary work.
(Dismantling, transport, reworking and assembly.)
In only five months, from January to May 2010, the organ was moved and repaired by us. Visually, the 36-stop instrument was excellently integrated into the room by means of a large wall panel, a kind of "picture frame" around the organ. We completed the work with a thorough re-intonation in which all stops, especially the reed stops, were harmonised tonally.
Today, the organ impresses with very beautiful individual voices that blend excellently together in the pleno.
