Willprechtszell Mariä Himmelfahrt 2018

Restoration of the Gebr. Hindelang organ with 14 stops, II/Ped, Opus 98, built in 1909

The organ in the pilgrimage church Mariä Himmelfahrt in Willprechtszell is a pneumatic organ built in 1909 by the Gebr. Hindelang / Ebenhofen organ building workshop as Opus 98. The beautiful baroque prospect originally came from the town parish church of Aichach. The organ was in an extremely poor condition and could hardly be played. Therefore, a thorough and comprehensive cleaning and restoration was urgently needed. We paid special attention to the console, which was completely dismantled and restored in our workshop. The organ's sound was greatly improved by a comprehensive re-intonation and the reconstruction of the Gamba 8' stop. Visually, too, the organ shines in new splendour thanks to the replacement of the old zinc pipes with new tin pipes. We would like to thank the parish of Mariä Heimsuchung for this beautiful and responsible commission and wish the parish much joy with their instrument after the successful restoration.
