Unterglauheim St. Vitus 2011

The parish church of St. Vitus in Unterglauheim near Höchstädt received a new Weishaupt organ with 18 stops in 2011.

The unusual organ prospect was designed as a sculpture in close cooperation with the art department of the diocese of Augsburg. As an eye-catcher, the instrument was given a bunch of wooden pipes that seem to tilt randomly and at a slight angle to the front as well as to the side. The crowning addition are two sandblasted and curved glass plates in front of the front pipes with the inscription "LAUDATE DOMINUM".
