Gremheim St. Andreas 2013

The renowned organ builder F.B. Maerz built this instrument with 1 manual and 6 stops in 1902.

Around the turn of the century, the Maerz company developed a new windchest system, the so-called pocket chest. This system has a lot of movable leather parts, which we completely renewed after more than 100 years of use. The parts were manufactured and installed in our own workshop. Our focus was on the countless details that should guarantee years of trouble-free operation in the future. In order to realise this claim for the entire organ, among other things, the console was completely disassembled in our workshop and all relays were carefully restored. The large bellows in the loft were completely re-covered with thick sheepskin.
The Gremheimer organ works like new again!
